We had things to work on, we were functioning fine as parents and professionals but weren’t giving our relationship any priority and it was having an effect. I have seen Janaina in the past and she had supported me to better understand my chronic anxiety. We had initially seen another couples counsellor but we just didn’t click with them and dreaded the sessions. We kept saying to each other “we need to find someone like Janaina” – and the penny dropped for us that we should just speak to Janaina. We’d hadn’t realised she did couples therapy so were relieved to book in our first session with her. She really got to know us as a couple and teased out the things we weren’t saying to each other. Our ways of communicating are so different and it’s something we continue to work on daily, Janaina helped to address this, helping us reconnect and appreciate our feelings towards each other. It’s given us the foundations to keep working on our relationship. We’re so grateful to Janaina and highly, highly recommend her couples therapy services.
